Cooking Jewish in Toronto is the brainchild of Jewish Information Service of Greater Toronto (JIST) and was developed as a way to encourage our community to visit and explore the UJA website and its community engagement section, Doing Jewish in Toronto. JIST partnered with community organizations, agencies and groups to offer menu ideas for Friday night and Yom Tov dinners. This initiative ran each week from September 2005 to June 2006 and a different organization was highlighted along with its menu.
The menus and recipes are still available and can be searched by menu or by course using the links to the left of this article. Here you'll find delicious dishes and mouth-watering meal ideas from a wide array of participating Jewish organizations in Toronto.
